Baratang Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island lies 150 km north of Port Blair. To reach baratang you have to pass through a convey to cross the Jarawa reserve area for which you have to take permission from the adminstrative. While crossing the jarawa area you will see the Jarawa tribe. As the journey start you will experience the rich flora and fauna. Baratang is famous for its natural wonders, rich flora and fauna, Limestone Caves, mud volcano, parrot island and dense mangrove creeks.
